Our partnered Bone Marrow Transplant Centers, offer a comprehensive treatment program that adheres to international standards in stem cell and bone marrow transplantations for both adults and children.
Our transplantation programs are distinguished by clinical research in high dose chemotherapy and assessments of long-term outcomes. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, social workers, and administrators specializes in all facets of stem cell transplantation, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
Supported by specialty divisions such as Intensive Care, Pulmonary Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Renal Medicine, our Bone Marrow Transplant Program leverages advanced laboratory technologies and state-of-the-art equipment that meet international compliance standards. Our centers are certified by the Ministry of Health and the European Bone Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) group for various transplantation types including autologous, allogeneic, matched-unrelated, and reduced intensity procedures. We also hold certifications for Unrelated Donor Harvests from EBMT.
Patient safety is enhanced in our facilities through the integration of HEPA Filtering systems in rooms and corridors to minimize airborne infections. Transplantations can be conducted using stem cells from the patient (autologous), siblings (allogeneic), or from international bone marrow banks when no histocompatible sibling is available. Our capability to perform cord blood transplantations using in-vitro fertilization techniques further sets us apart.
Our approach to bone marrow transplantation includes:
Prior to any transplantation, thorough assessments are made to ensure the patient’s suitability for the procedure, including cardiac and respiratory function evaluations and screenings for contraindications. Special attention is given to the risk of infection and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), with protocols in place to manage these risks effectively.
The Bone Marrow Transplant Center is dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation through rigorous clinical research and patient-centered care, striving to provide life-saving treatments to patients with severe and often life-threatening diseases.
