Neonatal Intensive Care

Neonatal Intensive Care

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides comprehensive support for newborns requiring intensive care, utilizing state-of-the-art medical equipment and the latest clinical practices. This unit facilitates the integration of families into the care process, ensuring they are well-informed and educated about their baby’s condition. Specialized care is offered to high-risk newborns from a gestational age of 24 weeks, including those affected by preterm delivery, multiple pregnancies, maternal diabetes, macrosomia, meconium aspiration syndrome, and complications arising from challenging deliveries such as brain and organ damage. Our NICU delivers critical medical and surgical services to infants within our facility and extends these services across Turkey and to neighboring countries through collaborations with air and ground ambulance services.

Services provided include respiratory support (ventilator therapy), blood exchange, phototherapy, percutaneous catheter insertion, total parenteral nutrition, chest tube placement, bedside EEG, echocardiography, ultrasound for visceral examination, and retinopathy screening. Our unit collaborates closely with divisions of Pediatric Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases to ensure comprehensive, round-the-clock care.
