Neurology Department Overview

Neurology Department Overview

At our partner Neurology Departments, we offer comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, and management for a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, catering to both inpatients and outpatients. Our facilities are equipped to handle various neurological issues including cerebral hemorrhages, headaches, dizziness, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, and sleep disorders.

Our interdisciplinary approach involves collaboration with the Medical Imaging and Neurosurgery Departments when necessary. Advanced diagnostic tools such as cranial computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), echocardiography, and extracranial Doppler are integral to our treatment and follow-up processes.

We provide intensive care for patients with life-threatening conditions like coma, progressive strokes, and frequent seizure relapses. Our electrophysiology laboratory employs EMG (electromyoneurography) extensively for evaluating neuropathies, characterized by symptoms such as numbness in the hands and feet and pain conditions including lumbar and cervical hernias. EEG (electroencephalography) is also utilized for the differential diagnosis of central nervous system diseases, particularly epilepsy.

Outpatient services extend to the management of headache complaints among other conditions.

Neurosurgery

  • Neurological disorders rank among the most prevalent health issues within our nation. The Neurosurgery Clinic at our hospitals offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for both adult and pediatric patients. We provide treatment for a wide array of conditions including brain tumors, cerebral hemorrhages, strokes, and other vascular diseases, as well as spinal disorders and deformities. Our specialist physicians employ advanced techniques and microsurgical procedures to deliver exceptional care.
  • The Neurosurgery Team is comprised of experts from various disciplines such as Neurology, Neuroradiology, Neuroanesthesiology, and Psychiatry. Treatment for cerebrovascular diseases is tailored to each patient's specific needs, and may involve the collaborative efforts of the interventional neuroradiology and surgical teams. All surgical cases are meticulously monitored in the intensive care unit postoperatively, utilizing a collaborative approach between neurosurgery and intensive care teams.
  • Furthermore, our Department of Pediatrics is integral to the pre-operative assessment and ongoing postoperative care of our pediatric patients, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their hospitalization.
