Pediatric Nephrology

Pediatric Nephrology

Our Pediatric Nephrology Clinic caters to children aged 0 to 18 years suffering from kidney and urinary tract diseases, focusing on early diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of renal diseases, including chronic renal failure. We aim to manage terminal renal failure using peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, preparing patients for kidney transplantation. We treat a variety of conditions, including:

  • Renal Parenchymal Diseases
  • Glomerular Diseases (e.g., acute and chronic glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndromes)
  • Tubulointerstitial Diseases (e.g., inherited renal diseases, Bartter Syndrome)
  • Cystic kidney diseases
  • Kidney involvement in systemic diseases (e.g., vasculitis, collagen tissue diseases)
  • Urinary tract conditions (e.g., infections, reflux, stenoses, voiding disorders)
  • Hypertension, acute and chronic renal failure

Our clinics provide routine and advanced diagnostic services, including urinalysis, blood and urine tests, and imaging procedures such as ultrasound, MRI, and nuclear medicine scans. Renal biopsies are conducted for differential diagnosis and analyzed with specialized methods in our pathology department. The Pediatric Urology Clinic performs urodynamics and cystoscopy, assessing surgical needs. We also monitor and manage prenatal and postnatal renal conditions and provide ongoing care for chronic renal diseases, including dialysis management and post-transplant follow-up.
